Hi!
I’m Sigal Rak Viente (Sigluna), an illustrator and graphic artist. I’ve worked for years as a graphic designer and user experience designer, and over time I discovered my endless passion for expressing feelings, ideas, and concepts through illustration. I studied digital illustration in the continuing studies program at Bezalel in Tel Aviv. During the Corona period, I felt a need to illustrate every day—and that’s how the Sigluna brand was born. My biggest inspiration is my family: my dear husband, our two beautiful children, and our wonderful cat.
I love simplicity and strong ideas, so my illustrations are conceptual, minimalist, and mostly black and white. Each piece carries an idea, illustrated gently and with great attention. I truly hope you enjoy them. :)
I’m always open to new projects, so if you’d like to collaborate or commission a special illustration, please feel free to contact me by email: sigalviente@gmail.com

Happy you came for a visit!
The creative process
My creative process sometimes begins with an illustration idea and other times with a textual idea. Because of this combination, each illustration ends up having its own title.
I find that working in black and white feels more natural and focused for me, it lets me express my ideas simply and has become my personal visual language.
I create my work digitally using Adobe’s tools: Illustrator, Photoshop, and Fresco.
My first feedback always comes from my children - the best advisers I could ask for! I also gain valuable perspective from my studio partner, Johnny. :)

Activism
In 2020, I began creating illustrations on political topics, and I have continued ever since. Through my artwork, I try to encourage change and improvement. I am still active today, advocating for the return of the Kidnapped and for the protection of democracy. After October 7th, I also began volunteering by illustrating portraits of fallen soldiers, Kidnapped individuals, Nova festival victims, and evacuees.
The photo was taken during the 2020 demonstrations at Balfour Square. I illustrated the design on my shirt, “Save Democracy”, as well as the design on the sign, “Doesn’t Stop at Red.”
